House Heyns

Build on the rocky mountain edge of a Pretoria Golf estate this garden with its magnificent views of the Golf course was a challenge. A water feature fountains out on the top corner of the stand and finds its way through the garden then disappears into a pond and emerges again at the front of the garden. Many waterfalls were created all with its own unique style and sound. Heyns required that the water had to flow over the natural rocks bedded into the mountain. Two rocks were pointed out that had to be used in the design. These to rocks were moved into position with a 30 ton crane. The garden has a tropical feel and is low maintenance with pathways leading to mysterious corners. The view can be utilised from sections in the garden.
